Well, drat.
My family is flying out to California at the end of next month for a memorial affair, and my parents proposed sending me to L.A. to visitjeanniemac and cincoflex, but it turns out that the extra hop would cost so much that it's not really feasible. As my mother put it, it would cost less for me to make an entirely separate trip across the country than it would to either make a three-way flight or an extra short one. *sigh* I'm terribly disappointed, loves...but I'll make it out there someday.
