To Avignon to see the Pont of song. Prety nifty, it just stops in the middle. Sunny, fresh weather. Attached to the Pont is the national academy of dance or some such--we could hear the piano for the dancers. Sounds boring to me, the player never seemed to get to finish a piece.

We also saw the outside of the palace of popes--very magnificent, but no one wanted to go inside. gargoyles, including a spaniel one. My brother pointed out a pipe converted to a modern gargoyle. I started to sneeze, though, and by the time we got back I was ready to crash.
