Silly but fun

I know nothing about J-pop, but the other day I saw a YouTube video of Hatsune Miku live.  It's a hologram of sorts, with an electronic voice (sampled from a live woman), that can perform with a live band, singing and dancing on stage.  It doesn't look like a real person (though the headset mike is a nice touch) but it's not supposed to--and it does move and sound like one.

Apparently they've been around for a few years, so perhaps I'm the only one who's never seen the things before.  But I am fascinated by them.  This is what 3D tech should look like--something you can walk around, the Millennium Falcon chess game sharpened and writ large.  This is the future I've been reading about all my life.

I do wonder what the musicians think of performing with something like that.

Yesterday I realized that a mistake in my budget calculations would leave me $43 short before my next available paycheck.  I didn't quite panic, but my mind raced over various ideas to make up the deficit, none of them really feasible.  A few days ago I'd asked God for help with my monetary difficulties, but I wasn't sure that He'd respond in a way that would solve my problem.  (Is that disguised doubt?  I don't know.)

Last night, while looking through piles for a couple of needed papers, I discovered various forgotten checks and opportunities.  The total?

$45.

I think I'm being taught a gentle lesson.  What can I say but thank You?

I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.  Ps. 34:4
