Quite right, but you were just behind. Sorry, I went to lunch!

10 is the grandmother from While You Were Sleeping.

[identity profile] vr-trakowski.livejournal.com 2008-02-27 06:20 pm (UTC)(link)
You got it!

[identity profile] tres_mechante.livejournal.com 2008-02-27 06:17 pm (UTC)(link)
#11 is The Mummy! I just love that disaster scene in the library. *g*

edited because I finally remembered the name! #7 is Shadowlands. I knew the quote was my fave by C.S. Lewis, but I had a hard time remembering the movie. WHEW! Thank you subconscious mind.

Nice! #7 is not an easy one.

#5 sounds like The Devil Wears Prada

[identity profile] vr-trakowski.livejournal.com 2008-02-27 07:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Alas, no, not even close.

[identity profile] smacky30.livejournal.com 2008-02-27 07:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Well if you haven't seen it it's a pretty good movie. And Meryl Streep's character is a stone cold bitch.

[identity profile] elfling65.livejournal.com 2008-02-27 10:26 pm (UTC)(link)
5 is The Abyss, I LOVE that movie. Ed Harris, ROWR!

[identity profile] vr-trakowski.livejournal.com 2008-02-28 02:27 am (UTC)(link)
Spot on! *grin* Director's cut all the way, definitely.

[identity profile] elfling65.livejournal.com 2008-02-29 01:34 am (UTC)(link)
Hell yeah. Looks really good on a big screen too. I think it's time we saw that again! *grin*

[identity profile] inalichenmanner.livejournal.com 2008-02-27 10:32 pm (UTC)(link)
I think #3 is from The Dark Crystal. At least it sounds like it is.

[identity profile] vr-trakowski.livejournal.com 2008-02-28 03:03 am (UTC)(link)
Excellent! Yes it is. I was so tempted to use the wings quote, but I didn't want two speakers; it's still the best line in the film, though.

Is number 8 from Serenity? anne

[identity profile] vr-trakowski.livejournal.com 2008-02-29 04:10 am (UTC)(link)
Nope! Sorry.

[identity profile] elfling65.livejournal.com 2008-03-02 07:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Number 9 seemed very familiar so I searched it. Now I know why I knew it!! Time After Time. Great movie. I adore Malcolm McDowell.

[identity profile] vr-trakowski.livejournal.com 2008-03-08 09:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Whoops, sorry I didn't answer sooner! Yeah, I love that movie--it's so very seventies, violent, and a bit silly, and wholly unhistorical, but it's still great fun and Mr. McDowell is just adorable. Such a contrast with ST7!

[identity profile] elfling65.livejournal.com 2008-03-08 10:00 pm (UTC)(link)
That's a fact. I loved his bumbling performance as Wells. He was deliciously evil in ST7, I remember being very curious when he was cast. too much fun.
