Iron Man drabble

I don't usually do drabbles, because it's so hard to squeeze something down that far, but I got this image in my head... 


Perfect Day -- Rated G


The sun was bright and hot, with a delightful westerly breeze.  Pepper was enjoying it on the patio when Tony emerged. 

He sat down on her chaise and stretched out, leaning against her with a sigh.  Still reading, Pepper wrapped an arm around his bare shoulders.  Tony folded his hands on his stomach, resting his head on her chest. 

She’d set the magazine aside when he spoke, soft and far away.  “Weird.” 

Pepper buried her fingers in his hair, rubbing to make him purr.  “What?” 

He sighed again.  “I’m happy.” 

She looked out over the ocean, and smiled.  “Me too.”
