Ugh.

I just had a nightmare.

Not the straightforward scary types; those I can deal with a bit better.  This was purely psychological, where nothing that happens is overtly frightening, but the emotions, the overall plot, are terrifying, horrifying.

So now I'm awake, and I'm going to stay awake a while longer, because if I go back to sleep too soon I might find myself in it again.  *shudder*

I hate nightmares.

Eeks. I know the type you're talking about. Hope you were able to get back to sleep.

Yeah, but I waited a couple of hours. *shudder*

Whew... at least it was the weekend when you could sleep later!

Yeah, sometimes I think Theatre of the Unconscious should come with disclaimers and warnings and a back button.

*hugs you gently*

Thanks! I'd settle for an eject button, sheesh.

*hugs tight*

I hope it went away. I hate falling back asleep and falling back into the same nightmare that woke me up.

Thank you--yeah, that's why I got up for a while, to make sure it was gone.

oh babe, I know exactly the type of dream you mean. Hope you were able to sleep and have better dreams!

Yes, eventually! Thank you.

I am wandering through random friends' lists and happened to see this. I find it really helpful to *not return to the position in which you were having the dream*, so if you were on your back, front, this or that side, I'd lie back down in a different posture. Additionally, taoist and Tibetan buddhist thought is that lying on the right side is purer energetically (the posture the Buddha passed away in), and even better for the heart and other organs (prescribed by taoist doctors). *shrug* I hope it helps!

Huh, that's interesting! I usually find it most helpful to thoroughly wake up for a while, but I'll keep it in mind. Thanks!
