December 23

Fandom: CSI, GSR
Prompt: none

The flu had swept through St. Jean Baptiste; the directrice of the living nativity had been desperate.  I barely speak any French, Sara had protested, but Grissom had pointed out that she wasn’t actually required to say anything.

From his shepherd’s vantage point, Grissom admired his wife, demurely draped in traditional blue and seated quietly by the rough manger.  For all her doubts about organized religion, he thought, she made a lovely Mary.

And then she looked up at him, and her smile, luminous and warm, told him she understood.  He smiled back, and hummed Holy, Holy under his breath.
