The Elephant Gambit

As I said in the introduction, I really do have a thing for this kind of plotline, starting with Prey all those years ago (eleven! wow). And, as I also said, two of them were canon, starting with Prey. I don’t know why the affinity, except perhaps that it’s fun to distill the emotions involved.
For an Inception fic, this doesn’t have a lot of Dreaming, at least at first. I suppose that’s odd, but the movie creates a set of relationships that’s interesting to explore even outside of the Dream context. Though we’ll get to that, too, eventually.
Arthur’s realization may seem a bit airy, but it’s his job to make connections, and I’m sure his instincts are sharp. He’d know.
It could even be a mistake. Heh. :P
