Ow.
My wrists ache. Not badly, but enough to make me cautious; it's probably due to tossing around a rather heavy volume of bound journals yesterday when I was photocopying some 40+ pages for my boss. Specifically, it's those tendons running up the inside-side towards the thumbs.
This is not reassuring on a number of levels. I type for a living, as well as for my own pleasure; I don't need to become incapacitated right now, thankyouverymuch. As long as I have my hands and my sight, I can read and write; if it came to a choice between my ears and my eyes, I would cheerfully nix my hearing (though I say nothing for my subsequent temper).
It's not too bad yet, it doesn't hurt to type, and I have hopes that the ache will be gone in a day or so. Having once lost the use of my left hand for almost a week, due to an overstrained tendon, it's not something I care to repeat. I write; that's what I do. To do it at all efficiently, I need to type. That requires both hands, or a lot more time than I've got.
It's just somewhat worrisome.
