December 13

Kimmy looked at the LED candles and sighed. “Hot wax,” Gracie reminded her, and zipped up Kimmy’s long white gown.

Kimmy smiled, excited. “I can do the rest,” she said eagerly.

Gracie grinned back, and kissed her. “See you in a minute.”

She slipped back into bed, where her sleepy husband regarded her benignly. “All set?”

“Hush,” she told him. “We’re asleep, remember?”

Ed snickered, and pulled up the quilt to cover them both.

A few minutes later the door creaked open, and Saint Lucia, candle-crown lit and face aglow, entered to wake them with saffron buns and love.

Hee! Thanks--I didn't think anyone would mind if I went off the grid, but it feels a little silly.

I loved that story and I love this. I'm so very glad you 'recycled' these characters. :D

Thank you! It was fun to work with them again, even so briefly.
