I wonder if the subscription numbers would be shocking. But then, I'm in the model horse hobby and it's staggering the number of people that subscribe to the Breyer collectors publication. Even more shocking is the 10's of thousands who show their models.

There's always an industry where there's an interest!

I'm just picturing the poor med student writing a paper on this stuff at two in the morning and sobbing in relief at finding an entire journal devoted to this exact subject matter.

Oh yeah! Always an exciting moment when you find the perfect journal... and even better when you also discover that your university library has an electronic subscription to it so you don't even have to leave the comfort of your internet. :-D

Yes, I do this all the time at work! Electronic is always a score, because I don't have to go down to the library, and the copy is better.
