Sleep and His Half-Brother Death

Chapter Three of Meander is now posted.  It is Inception, Arthur/Ariadne, and rated PG-13.

Torturous chapter title, but in my mind it fits.  Possibly using a crowbar.

Readers of my Iron Man stories may recognize Robitech, and shouldn't be surprised that the company would stoop to extraction.  *grin*  For YYD Propulsion Systems, see this link, and rejoice.

All the pre-Raphaelite artwork described in any detail is based on actual works.

It's been interesting dealing with the whole extraction concept, and seeing where one could go with the Dream aspects, especially when the movie didn't lay down a lot of explicit rules.  I keep wondering about the pain issue, for instance; the only time I've ever personally felt much pain in a dream is when my sleeping body is in fact experiencing it.  There's a huge scope for invention, and playing around with it could be lots of fun.

Woo! I DID recognize Robitech, heehee! Love this chapter, and the fledgling feel you've given ARiadne throughout it--more! more!

Hah! YOU know what's coming next. Thank you for keeping me going--you know I couldn't do it without you!

And the rules they did lay down, were broken during the movie.

I've read this (http://www.the-editing-room.com/inception.html), and now I'm at loss how can anything make up for the common logic abuse in the movie LOL
What especially bugged me was that if you die in any level you go to limbo, but if you die in limbo you wake up. That's how it was in the movie, really.
I'm perplexed.

I tend to think that exiting Limbo is something of an act of will, but requires a physical catalyst. But yeah, they didn't make a lot of sense once you think about it...or Cobb isn't telling the whole truth!

Yes, let's blame Cobb ;)
