With the wind howling outside, Sneakers has been whapping at the glass of the window trying to catch the leaves flying past.  *sigh*  As Warrick might say, sharp as a marble.  She was doing the same thing with snowflakes recently.

On an entirely different note, why is it when I mention a "stuffed animal" I get funny looks?  That's what they were called when I was a kid; "plushie" is a much newer term.  If I'm talking about taxidermy, I'll say so...

They're stuffed animals to me too. Every time I hear plushie, I think of "Fur and Loathing" and wonder why someone's making a reference to the CSI episode.

Hee! If I recall correctly, the proper term among such folk is "furries", though I expect CSI altered it slightly the way they do with brand names, etc.

...Do you get the feeling when you watch that one that Catherine WOULD "bop a six-foot weasel" if the mood took her?

Yes, you are correct but it was the PAF Convention - Plushies and Furries. And I don't think I want to know what the difference is between the two.

And yes, if he bought her a drink and treated her like crap, I have no doubt Catherine would bop a six-foot weasel.

I guess you have to be a CSI fan to find 'plushie' the stranger term...so yeah, I'm a CSI fan.

:P

I call them stuffed animals, too, and I think of "Fur and Loathing" when I hear 'plushie' as well.

I think bopping a 6 foot weasel is Catherine all over, fur or not. BWAHahahahahahaha!

Poor Catherine...she is not beloved.

Stuffed toy, that's what they are. Plushies to me are stuffed toys for dogs that you then pick up small pieces of 30 seconds after handing them out.

I worked with a furry once. Plushies wear suits of the animal they feel identified with and Furries wear parts of the animal they feel identified with. It was hard not to react when her friends would come into the store wearing raccoon tails or wolf muzzles. I could be WAY wrong..

Catherine is not loved, no. I could so see her bopping a 6 foot weasel. I laughed when she said that line...

Now that's interesting! I didn't know about that distinction. Well, IDIC and all that...

Well, IDIC and all that...

Exactly. Far be it from me to judge. I'm sure there's plenty about me that makes others shake their head...
