Okay, I'm sure you remember Liev Schreiber as Mike Keppler on CSI.  I admit that my exposure to him was limited to those episodes and an airplane viewing of Love in the Time of Cholera The Painted Veil, in which I primarily remember his character as an ass.

He's playing Sabretooth in the new Wolverine movie.  Sabretooth.

My brain hurts.

He was in The Painted Veil too~and yeah, was an ass in that one as well...I'm sensing a trend here...

Whut? Ye Gods. I really liked the wrestler they got from the first movie. He suited it much much better.

What is the world coming to?

Did you know they're remaking Return to Witch Mountain with. . .wait for it. . .The Rock?

:S And Hollywood wonders why viewership is down across the board. That does not sound good. Of course, Michael Keaton surprised a lot of people with his Batman, but LS just doesn't have the build for Sabretooth.

C'mon, we've already got a Wolverine who isn't five feet tall by five feet wide... I got past my snit with casting Hugh Jackman as Logan because he sold me with the attitude. Liev Schreiber has done menacing and crazy in the past (in Phantoms) - I think he should be able to pull off Sabretooth, provided the right writing and direction.

Is it just me or do the spots on that shirt make his nipples look seriously displaced?

**shakes head**

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that!

I don't know about that casting... Wall 'o man he ain't. I guess we'll have to see what comes of it. Hollywood is forever disappointing any more.

Return to Witch Mountain? Is it any wonder I see maybe 1 movie ever few years? Too much crap.

Yeah, I got the title wrong--never seen the cholera one, I just picked up on the disease! *snerk*

Yep, and it will bear even LESS relation to the rather intriguing book. I do like Alexander Key.

That was one of my annoyances with the X-Men films too, Wolvie is NOT that tall. I'll admit Mr. Jackman does an excellent job, but!

However, Mr. Schreiber is pretty good.

Weird, isn't it? Why all the remakes?

Not just remakes, bad remakes. I shudder at the though of the ST movie that's coming out this summer.

Ye-ah. The biggest sticking point for me is the fact that they're ruining their own timeline just with the Romulans, but then I stopped watching the films after #9.

Everything I've read and hear, it's FUBAR from the get go. It actually pisses me off for them to screw with something that was an important part of my childhood. BAH. The almighty dollar speaks. Nothing is sacred.

Nope. But then we still get a few goodies from time to time...
