Chapter 12 of Karma is up, or shortly will be, here or here. An event about which I would feel better if I hadn't been allergying for three days now. *sigh*
Such love have I for this story. Truly. I get warm and fuzzy feelings that are like hot chocolate on a cold day. LOL
Just a fews things specifically in this chapter that I'd like to mention.
Jim's ride from the airport with Lolu...priceless!
Zoe's love for her baby sister is so touching. I just wanted to give her a big hug.
The tradition of the christening gown is wonderful, the whole idea of passing on from one generation to the next, and the mixing of the families. ::is a bit envious::
The christening ceremony was lovely. Um...is there a Greg/Pauline thing in the works? Poor Greg. LOL
I especially like this bit: [Unlike most baby showers, this one had several men among the guests, and it was almost absurd to see people in bondage and fetish gear cooing over tiny garments and all the paraphernalia of infanthood. But then, that is the truth I have always recognized--my workers may become icons of discipline and desire during the night hours, but underneath that they are people, living complex humans.]]
I wish TPTB for the show could take that route sometimes. ::is still annoyed about the way they refuse to make characters 3dimentional::
That last segment of the story - just Jim and Daisy - was amazing. I could see it all. Jim is such a teddy bear. And the love he has for that child...
[[I don't stop. I know how fast babies grow, how soon little arms stop reaching for hugs and little feet carry them out of your reach. I know that even if she never stops wanting hugs, she'll soon be too busy for many of them.]]
Oh that's just heartbreaking and so very poignant.

I'm very glad you enjoy this story! We've been dreadfully slow with updates, I know. But sometimes it's so much fun to do basically lots and lots of fluff. *grin*
Both of us get the distinct feeling that Jim isn't going to repeat the mistakes of the past...
