I've gone over what I have on my list to write a couple of times (though it's ever-changing). But there are stories I'd like to write, and simply haven't found the time to do...
A CSI/L&O:CI crossover. Heh.
A very angsty L&O:CI story involving the infamous Nicole Wallace. No, NOT B/N. Not B/A either, for that matter.
A novel inspired by watching The Beast too many times.
A romance that starts with a fairy tale.
A CSI story with an ongoing inside joke.
A post-Serenity Firefly story--a long one. (i.e., over 3000-4000 words. HTTM is redefining my standard for "long", but I cling to some things yet.)
The CSI story suggested by the recent Jorja Fox interview.
A CSI story involving a body in a clock.
A CSI story involving a test and a twist.
And a Blake's 7 story where Tarrant really does something he shouldn't.
I may never get to any of these, and I'm sure there are some I'll never touch. These don't count ongoing projects or even anything for which I've written down more than a scrap or a sentence--I have CSI stories started that involve mistakes, anonymous gifts, and poetry, but either the show's moved on or I just never got back to them. I have an L&O:CI story that I think would be outstanding if I could get past where I stopped. I have a bit of SAJV that I'll probably never finish and a Prey story that fizzled out and some Doctor Who that simply hasn't gone anywhere and some Magnificent 7 that was pure self-indulgence. I have the start of a fantasy novel that bogged down, a sci-fi novel in which I lost interest, a romance novel that isn't worth finishing (at least for the purpose for which I started it) and one I'm putting off, and any number of short stories that I've just dropped.
*sigh* I need to be independently wealthy. Then I'd have time for all this.
