Mar. 13th, 2007 11:46 pmLast night I stepped out my door and found a baby mouse on the hallway floor. Not an infant, but definitely a young mouse, flattened out in the middle of the lino and looking bulgy-eyed. The closer I looked, the more I wanted to go "Awwww." Cuuuute!
I took two empty VHS tape sleeves and gathered it up (it started a lot) and took it outside. I know it was cold, but if I'd left it someone would have stepped on it, accidentally or or purpose. Outside, at least, it could nestle under a bush and take its chances, as all wild things should. It was big enough to not need Mama, certainly.
