I've seen this one going around, and it amuses me, so...
Open up your media player. Load up all your MP3s. Set it to random. List the first 20 songs that play. No cheating. Bold the one you find the most embarassing (if there is one). Italicise your favourite. Underline your least favourite. Post your list in your journal so others can mock and scorn and laugh.
I had to go through about 55, actually, skipping over the books on CD and the Podcasts because those rather miss the point.
Hearne, Clannad, Legend
The Great Adventure, Steven Curtis Chapman, The Live Adventure
Dancing Light/Sonnet XXIX, Lee Holdridge & Ron Perlman, Beauty and the Beast: Of Love and Hope
Never Give All the Heart, The Chieftains with Brenda Fricker, Tears of Stone
I’m Happy Just to Dance With You, The Beatles, A Hard Day’s Night
Jambalaya, Hank Williams, Sr., The Complete Hank Williams
Prelude to “The Wicked Lady”, Tony Banks, The Dark Crystal/The Wicked Lady
The Maker of Noses, Rich Mullins, The World as Best as I Remember It, Vol. 2
The Musical Priest, the Queen of May, The Chieftains, The Chieftains
All the Way to Kingdom Come, Rich Mullins, The Jesus Record (Demos)
Y Viene La Vieja/Canzoni Di Zampognari, Archguitar/Peter Blanchette, Archguitar Christmas
Circles, Jim Brickman, My Romance
Orion, Sinfonia of London Orchestra, Stargate
All the Stars, Sandi Patty, LeVoyage
Hallelujah, Mannheim Steamroller, Christmas Extraordinaire
Quartz Shipment, Sinfonia of London Orchestra, Stargate
Minstrel Boy (Film Version), Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros, Black Hawk Down OST
The B-52, Bad Haggis, Trip
Samwise the Brave, Howard Shore, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
Minuette, Preston Pisellini, Relaxation
I can't really pick a favorite or least favorite out of this lot. I loathe the Beatles generally, but that one and the Hank Williams are part of my quest to collect the "soundtrack" to Emma Bull's excellent War for the Oaks. Once I have them all, I will listen to them, then probably dump some again.
I do find it interesting that out of 7073 entries in my "song" list, Stargate came up twice...
