She loved her job, she really did. Slaying demons had let her return to something she had thought was no longer possible, and had even made some things easier.
But as Sara watched the moonlit ocean pass by far below the plane, she reflected that there was something she loved more.

She smiled, letting her fingertips absorb chill from the window. The City of Lights was waiting for her, and she was bringing a very special gift along in her suitcase. Sara thought about pines and music and candles, and the strength of her husband’s hug.
