Good heavens, thank you for such a lovely note! I'm so glad you're enjoying the story, and as for late... *eyes stack of "to review" and sighs* No legs to stand on here.
Sometimes it's fun to magically heal everything with a wave of the writer's wand, but in this one I did want to be as realistic as possible--to treat them as human beings in all their flawed reality, since I had the space to do it in. So I'm doubly glad that you see that too.
