Chapter 27 of HTTM is now up. I meant to have a longer chapter because of the hiatus, but I'm running out of workday, and as of last night I have no dial tone at home--which means no Internet access, and no posting except at work. *sigh* It could be a few days before it's working again, I'm told (it's an upgrade). So a regular-length chapter for the readers, and a quiet night for me...

Okay. This needs to be said first and foremost:

The image of Grissom falling asleep while cuddling a large pink lizard is so far beyond cute that there are no actual words to describe it. I read that and, well, I don't think this grin is going anywhere anytime soon.
::snerk::

These last two chapters have been wonderful. I'm glad Grissom's mom is settling in - even though it took such an emotional toll on all concerned.

Sara and the kids is wonderful. Her love for them shines through, as does her respect for Kimmy for simply accepting how she feels and not offering trite words/explanations in a difficult situation. And Sara's goodbye to Ed...yeah, I don't think they've got anything to worry about with regards to drifting apart.

I'm very much looking forward to seeing everyone's reaction when Sara returns to Las Vegas. Yes indeed...Greg is in for a surprise.

Thank you for your dedication in continuing this story. And, for the record, it's not always about the length of the chapter so much as the quality.

::off to reread about grissom and the pink lizard::

Heh, that lizard was only supposed to make one appearance, but it does persist somehow.

Next week should be...interesting, yeah. *evil grin*

It's beautiful to see how this new love is changing both Sara & Grissom, and opening them up not only to each other, but to their friends & co workers as well. The goodbye scenes between Sara & the kids were profound and as simple as most truly important things are. The lizard??? Oh, my, his longing for Sara is is palpable, and I am so looking forward to their reunion! As always, beautifully written, impeccably paced, with such telling vignettes on the rest of their lives. Can't wait till next Wednesday!

Thank you! It's an interesting task, seeing how they might change but keeping them themselves. Glad it's working...
