A drabble, written for cincoflex and revised.  Iron Man, Tony/Pepper, G




The circus was fun.  Tony liked the exploding clown best, but he hadn’t missed the way Pepper’s face had lit during the equestrian show. 

Getting the work done in secret hadn’t been easy, but her annual vacation had coincided nicely, and money helped. 

The little zebra herd in the paddock ambled up at his whistle, and Tony delighted in her astonished flush.  Pepper’s hands cupped the muzzle lowered to them, and her smile was beautiful. 

“Why?” 

He dared an arm around her waist.  “Let’s just say you’ve earned your stripes.”

The lingering kiss on his cheek was thanks in plenty.

Oh so sweet! Of course Tony would like an exploding clown...uh...exploding clown?!

Tony would definitely be one for unusual gestures of affection. Zebras! *g*
