Jarvis understood the cultural significance of Christmas as a holiday and a religious observation. He had absorbed two thousand years’ worth of information on the subject. He knew why it was celebrated in December and the rituals it had displaced. But he still failed to see the significance to those who did not subscribe to its central faith.
However, watching through his cameras as his creator kissed his own assistant, fastened a miniature of the heart-assist device around her neck, and kissed her again, Jarvis felt he might be beginning to understand.
Love…faith…redemption. It was worth analyzing.
