aj! If I can figure out how to embed the little suckers...

Hey! It worked. This is a symbol from Jim Henson's masterpiece, The Dark Crystal. I can't choose a favorite movie of all time, but this is one of the ones I love most, and it holds up incredibly well. Brian Froud designed the film, as it were, and I chose this symbol because it's elaborate and nifty and a shout-out to the film without being obvious.
2.
Visual pun for Christmas. Noel, noel, noel, noel... *grin* I have a button with this symbol, a gift from my mother, and I try to wear it every year and see who gets it, who asks about it, and who groans/whimpers/eyerolls/laughs.
3.
Yusuf, the sadly underrepresented Chemist from Inception. Gorgeous. I didn't create this icon, so I don't know if it's an image from the film itself, but I don't think it is. Most of the iconage for this film is the rest of the cast, which is too bad, because he was just as much a part of it. In fact, the character was lacking in a lot of the promos too. *sigh*

trialia! Taken from the cover for A Wizard Alone, one of Diane Duane's fantastic Young Wizards series. I've been reading 'em since the early 1980s and devour each new one eagerly. Recommended!

One of my early attempts at iconizing (not that I've improved any). I made it for my LJ updates on Halfway to the Moon, my longest CSI fic to date.
