My mom and dad are currently vacationing in Hawaii, and my mom sent me a lei by FedEx.  I've never even seen one in person before, let alone owned one.  It's gorgeous, hot pink and heavy. 

Not something that was ever on my list of desires, but I'm glad to have it.

I got lei'd 5 times when I went to Hawaii. It was fun. And smelled good too :-) Now I have a frangipanni tree in my back yard. That's what the traditional lei's are made of. Pretty and pink. -Ish, sorta pink-ish tinged and smells gorgeous. Congratulations.

Thanks! It does sound like fun. Mom was there almost fifty years ago for Peace Corps training, so apparently there's a lot of memories involved...
