Stille Nacht, Mannheim Steamroller, Christmas Celebration 

I'm not going to tell you why I like this particular rendition, it's private.  But I do.  It's different from other MS tracks, too, not a repeat.  

People seem to either love or hate Mannheim Steamroller.  I adore their Christmas albums, have ever since i first heard their music, back before CDs.  :P  I haven't heard their non-holiday music, but the Christmas albums are plenty for me.

I knew you would have this one day...just knew you would! I bought this as my first CD back in 1984 while I was in grad school. It brings back a whole host of memories about that time and the people I was with then. So rich, so much life yet to live, so many things happening back then. And it was the melody of my time there. I have all of their Christmas albums (plus 2 non-holiday), but this song remains my favorite.

I actually saw them in 1987 doing a Christmas concert. The way they presented/played this song was amazing, toy piano and all. It still can bring tears to my eyes. Thanks you for confirming my belief you have exquisite taste :-)

Clearly we share the excellent taste! :D This one just hooks into me. I think it was one of those on the homemade tape I was given all those years ago.
