Essence, Chapter One

To start with, this one was inspired by cincoflex's gorgeous Impedo Gravida.  I love that one.  What a pity the issue wasn't addressed in the books, though I suppose the intended audience is a bit young... 

I found it interesting to write Lily, given how little we see of her in canon and how ambiguous she is.  She's more of a symbol than anything else.  Still, she seems to have had some spirit, so that's enough to build on. 

And I love the idea of a customized perfume.  Even without magic, that would be a fabulous gift--assuming that one liked the scent!

W00t! So good to see it up! I'm thrilled and know it's gorgeous! Not only a touching love story, but full of those rich scenes and details that make a reader go 'ahhhhhhhh' while enjoying it!
