A dilemma

My sequel to "Rollercoaster" is finally pulling together, it seems. But I've been writing it in bits and pieces--a scene here, a scene there. Not in any kind of order. And Cincoflex, poor woman, has been there every step of the way, putting up with my whining, rereading endless bits of scenes, encouraging me and telling me when something doesn't work. So both of us are tangled in this thing now.

I'd love to take a step back and look at the thing as a whole, but I can't, and she's almost as deep in it as I. But I can't ask someone else to read it with fresh eyes, either; the thing's almost fifty thousand words long at this point. Perhaps I should set it aside for a while and then read it over to see if it hangs together, but I don't particularly want to wait that long.

Heh, love the woman--I have no other beta because I NEED no other beta. This is a problem I haven't run into before.

Oh well, if I go by instinct, it'll probably be fine.

One of your best. Judging from your past fics, your instinct is perfect - so I agree with you. Your sequel will be fine. :-D
