Odd day

Chapter 26 of HTTM is now up and has been for a few hours. I had to post very quickly and then go to a sort of office lunch, which I enjoyed more than I thought I would.

But if it gets any noisier in here--vacuuming plus people replacing doors plus major echo--I may stop pretending to do work at all.

Definitely needed this after the past few days. Lovely chapter. Loved the interaction with Sara and Gracie.

I love the tender yet realistic manner that you are showing how Rosalie's Alzheimer's is affecting everyone around her, especially Grissom. His despair and pain is palpable. You've created such a warm and loving family to help Rosalie. Her and Susan's interactions remind me so much of my mother and her sister! *grin* In situations like Grissom encountered with Rosalie repeatedly looking for some item, human nature would sometimes compel us to lie, even if they may not ever realize they are being lied to.

He missed her smile, her mind, her kiss; he missed her hands on him, and the smell of her hair, and the haven of her body. Not just the lovemaking, though that was better than he’d thought such things could be; he missed the sheer animal comfort of having someone nearby, of having a living body to curl around and to warm him while he slept.

sigh...

When they were talking on the phone, I so wanted her to be able to reach out and hug him! Glad that he felt comfortable enough to ask about Sara's mother and that she likewise was comfortable enough to share. They really are learning how to open up with each other. Awwww, how adorable that he wanted her to talk to him until he fell asleep.

Can't wait to find out how and when Grissom will decide to propose. Should be very interesting when Greg and the others find out about them too!

Thank you! I never meant Rosalie to be such a big part of this story, but I guess the muse wants her there. And yes, it will be interesting when their secret comes out! Much yelping shall ensue, I imagine...
