I just knew there would be a moment at the end. And try as I might, I didn't want that to overpower my opinion of the rest of the ep. Now I'm like, "what rest of the ep??? what happened again?"

I know! It just wasn't what I was expecting. I didn't like what she said and I didn't like his look. *sigh* She may just feel so comfortable that she can be that way with him, but his 'thoughtful' look was a little too thoughtful for me.

oh come on ladies, easy interp here for the last scene! Grissom feels guilty that he wants to take the sabbatical and he hasn't spoken to Sara about it yet. It's worrying him, so he's going to go home, have lovely sweet sex with her and in the afterglow tell her about the offer. She'll support him and tell him it's a great idea and that he ought to go--she'll be waiting for him when he gets back.

yep, that's my interpretation, so you must take it as canon because I have spoken.
