I have to say, it's a pity that Donn Cortez is only writing CSI:Miami novels, because he (or she?) is much better than Max Allan Collins on the whole.  For one thing, the quips are much better...but I have to say, it's this quote (coming from the mouth of Ryan Wolfe) that made me take especial notice: 

"So two socially inept people meet, fall in love and have little geek babies?" 

*blink*  Hmm.  Am I missing something?  Is this person a secret 'shipper?

I can't say I'm a huge fan of MAC. His writing is ok, but not spectacular. He's more a quantity man than a quality man. So I have to agree there.

The first CSI book I bought that he'd written had a major grammatical error in the first paragraph. If I'd seen that, I probably would have skipped it.
