...sheepage! I did this last year, but not all my quotes were guessed, so I'm recycling a couple.  Mind you, a lot of mine are pretty obscure.

[1] Pick 12 TV shows.
[2] Then pick one of your favourite quotes from each show.
[3] Post the quotes in your journal.
[4] Have those on your friends list guess what the show is.
[5] Extra points for knowing the character's name.
[6] Strike out the quote once it has been correctly identified.

1.  “Peace is always worth it.”

2.  "I've found that evil usually triumphs... unless good is very, very careful."  ST:TOS, Dr. McCoy, guessed by [profile] cluesby4

3.  “This is Rosalyn. You damage her, you damage me, and I will make you walk all 12.6 lightyears back to Fat Anthony's Guitar Parlor in Shreveport, Louisiana to repair a single nick.”

4.  "Where there's a will, there's a Tom, Dick and Harriet."

5.  “We take all the money we got saved right now, we could maybe buy a moderately-sized gerbil.”  Firefly, Mal, guessed by [personal profile] bunchofgrapes

6.  "I don't know whether to laugh or cry. You have an offended mobster and his son. A case of mistaken identity. An incompetent hitman. A hitman's widow. A hitman's missing sister. A corrupt cop. And now another dead killer. It's operatic."

7.  “Okay good, okay fine.”  Beauty and the Beast, Mouse, guessed by [profile] eagertalker

8.  "Dead body! Bonus."  CSI, Sara Sidle, guessed by [profile] cluesby4

9.  “I'll stay here and round up a posse, in case I feel the need to cut anybody off at the pass.”

10.  "I have a keen grasp of the obvious."

11.  "Word to the wise - immortality is no excuse not to floss."   Forever Knight, Nick Knight, guessed by [profile] anamin

12.  "Today, we bring you greatest play in English language: Hamlet, by William Shakespeare. It no get classier than this."  Sesame Street, Cookie Monster, guessed by [profile] csimeezer

Bonus points if you can guess the quote in my icon!

Okay, trekker here...and getting ready for Shore-Leave next month!

"I've found that evil usually triumphs... unless good is very, very careful." This is McCoy in ST: Omega Glory.
How pathetic to know these things word-for-word.

"Dead body, bonus" - CSI: Sara. I love when she says this!

After over 20 years, I mainly go to see friends. I've met the entire cast of TOS, which was a major goal of mine.

Here's who will be there this year:

Nichelle Nichols and William Campbell from TOS.
Casey Biggs from ST:DS9
Paul McGillion from Stargate Atlantis
Aaron Douglas from Battlestar Galactica
Claudia Christian from Babylon Five
Colin Cunningham and Gary Jones from SG-I
Dean Haglund from X-Files and Lone Gunmen's

Very good! *applause* It's not pathetic...obsessive, maybe, but McCoy's always worth quoting!

Have you seen the poster, "Everything I know about life I learned on Star Trek"? It has a honorary spot by me computer. LOL

Not in some time, but I know what you mean! I used to have a STIV lobby poster somewhere, but I don't think I have it any longer.

I'm so bad at this. #8 I wanna say CSI

I think #11 is definitely something Mulder would say from Bad Blood.

Half right! But cluesby4 got to #8 before you.

#11 predates X-Files slightly...though Mulder would have been very interested in it...

Oh, well done! That's one of the more obscure ones, really. I wasn't sure who remembered Forever Knight any more.

I know this one (I think) it's from Sesame Street. Cookie Monster says it during Monsterpiece Theatre.

Maria, who hopes this works 'cause she just got a LJ account and doesn't know how to use it yet.

I'm taking a wild guess because a) I know it's a show you like and b) it sounds like something from that show--even though I've never really watched it and c) it just sort of popped into my head so I'm testing my psychic ability. So here goes: #5 = Firefly.

Is Forever Knight the one with Geraint Wyn Davies? If so, and if you are a fan of his, did you happen to catch him in "Cyrano de Bergerac" a few years ago at The Shakespeare Theatre?

Oh, outstanding, particularly if you're not a fan! Quite right. SO many good lines on that show--the snark was thick and rich.

Yes, GWD was the star of Forever Knight. As for Cyrano, I wish! He's a great actor and I love that play, but alas no. It's always cash-flow issues. :P

Woot! My psychic abilities score again! Now if I could only get them to work with the lottery.

I really wanted to see Cyrano when it was here. Unfortunately, I couldn't find anyone who wanted to go. Next time I'm calling you. Just so you know...

Fantastic!! Somebody finally got it! *cheers* I was beginning to think no one remembered poor Mouse. I think he was probably my favorite character--after Vincent, of course.
