Day twelve

vr_trakowskiDad and I stayed in. I walked up the far hill to see what I could see; not what I expected, but I found a little streamlet. Very steep walk. The store I wanted wasn't open yet, so Dad bought me lunch (steak frites) at one of the pond restaurants. I walked up an unfamiliar street and found the tower, then down another (breathless hot between the buildings) to the city wall.

The store was busy restocking after taking everything to a market this morning. I got a last few gifties and some postcards then went to do laundry.

The others were out late so Dad and I went down to the other end of the pond for pizza. Not American, but better than he expected. Definitely a family-run enterprise. The others turned up as we were finishing and ordreed too. I had some gingerbread ice cream, quite good.
We got back late and started packing!
