Day thirteen
May. 26th, 2007 01:13 pmDad wanted an early start and we sort of managed it, hauling suitcases to the car and garbage to the Dumpster. The trip back was uneventful, though I am rather tired of always sitting in the back seat. Anne met us at the train station to pick up the keys and teased us about how much luggage we had.
The same smooth train ride in reverse, then more long hauling through the Metro; I hate that part. The fact that I'm still coughing didn't help much. Still, we were ensconced in our hotel in plenty of time (a different one this time, with weird half-floors). I took a bath in the interesting tub and then we split up for dinner--my brother and sister-in-love went off on their own, and Dad and Mom and I went across the street to a cafe for supper. I got a crepe at last, ham and cheese, yum!
.....
Mom and I took a stroll for a few blocks; she has one particular street of Paris that she loves, and she wanted to see it once more.

It's nice having a hotel room all to myself! Not that there's room for anyone else in here...
