Congratulations so far and good luck! Good to see how far you made it while I was off in the middle of nowhere -- er -- field!

Can't read your new stuff yet, because I haven't yet seen THE episode, but hopefully soon... Gotta take a nice long shower, a longer nap, then get everything all unpacked and attempt to remove sand from my clothes, tent, and the crevices of my camera before it gets in too deep, THEN I can watch the ep and think about checking the latest fanfic... Trying to avoid any spoilers in the meantime.

Glad to see you have a Christmas fic, though, and are happily enjoying the seasonal music! (Now if only I could get used to hearing Christmas carols after entering air conditioned buildings from 105°F weather, seeing Santa's sleigh being pulled by six white kangaroos, and the fact that, yes, Christmas is coming despite the lack of Halloween and Thanksgiving celebrations, and the fact that it's well and truly summer... Maybe reading your fic will help get me in the mood, when I finally get the chance to check it out.)

Anyway, keep up the good work! Hope you get some good writing time in the homestretch! Good luck again!

Hey, glad you're back safe! And not too sunburnt, I hope.

Heh, I hadn't heard about the white kangaroos, though I know about the Easter bilby. One of my favorite books takes place in New Zealand, and the family has a beach party for Christmas. Sounded like a nice change to me. :P

I hope you get a chance to see the ep soon. Let me know what you think!

Not too burnt... just my lips. I had a great hat, nice sunscreen, long shirt and pants, but no sun-blocking lip protection... oops! Good field research for my ongoing WIP on the mini-killer arc and Sara's experience trekking through the desert, though. (Speaking of which, I really need to finish that!)

There's even a song (and lots of X-mas ornaments) for the white kangaroos. Check out THIS (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlSsffF2xhA) link. Unfortunately, no beaches in Alice...

Hopefully I'll get to see the ep tomorrow... My fiance just got back from Brisbane and he's not a CSI fan (too much violence for him, he used to be a nurse), so we're hanging out today. :-)

Heee, that's great! Why NOT kangaroos, after all? Y'know, it never occurred to me that of course they must make sounds when they hop. Boomers, hah.

I buy lip balm with an eye towards SPF factor these days. ;) Burnt myself a few too many times.
