Next chapter up

Work doesn't have room for me to post any more, so if I don't set it up Monday night... *shrug* Anyway, Chapter 10 of Palmer's Kiss. Thanks to everyone who reads and double thanks to those of you who tell me what you think.

Another great chapter -even with it's fair share of ups and down, I loved Pepper's response to Tony's too ardent suitor at the party, and my heart broke for Tony at the end: his pain at what he saw as a rejection of his affection. I look forward to seeing how things resolve in the next part.

Poor Pepper - it makes a certain sense that anyone who isn't born into it might have some trouble adjusting to the idea of a life as well funded as Tony's. For the record, I think it was very gutsy of you to raise the issue of the ways their background might affect their viewpoints on large, oppulent presents.

I eagerly await seeing how they work it out next section.

Hey, thanks! *blush* I do feel good about the party. I hate writing conflict as much as Cinco does, but sometimes one needs it, as you well know!

conflict is hard to write, but a VERY powerful tool, cause people reveal SO MUCH of themselves when the gloves come off...

As for what comes after...the obvious of course. A cut-throat game of parcheesi. :-)

Thanks for bringing a little bit of turbulence into the mushy stuff :-) I liked the jewelry lady. And both antagonistic interactions at the party were great. But now I think that Pepper got some 'splainin' to do!
