This is my little virus-bunny from April, finished and tidied up.  Lost and Found is rated NC-17 for smut-lite, and is Iron Man and Tony/Pepper.  It's also more angsty than I usually get, but this is an idea I've wanted to explore for some time. Many, many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] cincoflex for betawork, enthusiasm, major reassurance, patiently rereading, and of course the banners. And a special thanks to [livejournal.com profile] mingsmommy for another POV and expert advice on Charleston!

...more angsty than I usually get...

Ha! I knew it wouldn't last. You did an amazing job with this backstory for Pepper. Loved it. And your ending was in usual *happy sigh* form :-)

Thank you! Yeah, I do have that whole obsessed with the happy ending thing going... ;P

The scenes between Pepper and Lois and Pepper and Willie were very moving. I like that Lois's reasons are left ambiguous, and that she and Willie weren't demonized, but their reactions were just as human and understandable as Pepper's.

Thanks! I wanted to leave Lois open-ended, so to speak--reconciliation was far too much a cliche. And people are so complicated...

I meant to email you and tell you how much a enjoyed this one. I am a very bad, bad reader. Sorry about that.

BUT OMFG, I just loved this one. I LOVE PEPPER and she is such a mystery in some ways so it was great to read something that kind of fills in the blanks!

Thank you! Yeah, Pepper's an open question, really--more fun for us as writers but occasionally frustrating...

Oh, my dear, that was...was...*is speechless*

I loved this. Angsty, yes, and oh so painful. Too many stories have the birth family reunion end in a Hallmark moment, so it's wonderful to read one that shows the other possible outcome.

Tony is so caring, in his Tony-like way. I like that he thought about it before telling Jarvis to reveal the private information.

And at the end, with Tony listing the members of their little family unit - I giggled at that, because Jarvis and bots are sort of part of the family.

This is a wonderful bit of fleshing out of Pepper's story. It makes her more 'real', so to speak.

Beautifully done, VR. Thank you so much for sharing this.

*blush* Thanks! :D I couldn't tell you why this one had such a hold of me, but it was worth the fever. And yes, I deliberately didn't have a happy ending waiting for Pepper. Too cliche. Well, and it wasn't in the original bunny, but still.
