Merlin Olsen died.  I find this worth noting for only one reason--though as far as I know he was a worthy man--he resembled my father very strongly.  This led to the occasional moment where my father was thought to be Mr. Olsen, ordinary enough.  However, the better moment is that a friend of my dad's got on an elevator with Mr. Olsen some years ago...and thought he was my father.  *grin*
