Today's prompt courtesy of smacky30, for which I thank her!  This pair is always fun to revisit. 

Fandom: CSI, Brass/Heather
Prompt: Maybe just a relaxed evening at home w/the tree and a fire.



The tree was a magnificent specimen, Jim had to admit; and it should be, he thought, given how long the ladies had taken to choose it. 

Still, in the end he couldn’t begrudge them the time, since Heather had let him decorate it with his ornaments this year.  Though what Zoë was going to say when she got back from her party…. 

He put his arm around Heather and stretched out his feet towards the crackling fire, and smiled at Heather’s chuckle.  “I didn’t even know they made hockey Christmas ornaments.” 

Jim kissed her temple.  “Hey, they were all gifts.”
