The wide concrete area in front of the cars was a positive sea of brightly-colored paper shreds; Dummy sat tread-deep in the mess, gripper hopelessly stuck together by a cocoon of cellophane tape. Butterfingers, a few yards away, was so tangled in yards of knotted ribbon that he couldn’t move. Torn cardboard littered the floor; it had once been boxes, she assumed.
“Tried to teach them to wrap presents again,” Tony said from the workbench, offhand.
Pepper sighed. “You never learn, do you?” she said, and went to find the scissors.
