I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I remember in the 70s when we had three years like last year - all in a row. It could be worse. You haven't had to resort to digging tunnels to get to your bus stop yet, have you? :-D How much did you get, and, more importantly, did you get today off? The news reported that a nearby town got 16.5 inches. I believe it.
