Soul Cake, Sting, If on a Winter's Night...
Normally I can take or leave Sting, barring his amusing performance in the first Dune and his, um, enthusiasm in Brimstone and Treacle, but I really enjoy this song. I don't know much about souling, aside from the fact that it wasn't really a Christmas tradition, but I find I imagine the singer pretending to be a child (since souling was in part a children's tradition), and it pleases me no end for some reason.
Some of the songs on this album are depressing or downright creepy, but this one is fun, and has a great fiddle part. For it alone I would like the album.
