Now if that wasn't one of the poorest-written plots I've seen recently... Good grief. First of all, if those two have been married for nineteen years, they must have gotten married at age fifteen. Then the timespan--CSI: Miami always packs way too much into one day's investigation, honestly, but this was just ridiculous. I liked the bit with Eric not knowing the nauseating little twit who sued him, but the hint of romance from last week was obviously overblown (thankfully).
Then there was Eric bemoaning the fact that the ONLY piece of evidence they had against the pool guy (did he even have a NAME?) was tossed out, despite the fact that the guy had ant bite welts clear up his arm. And what was with him that he couldn't knock the keys off the hill with a stick or something? If he wanted the car badly enough to kill for it, there's no way he was just going to walk away.
Since when does a bar association disbar someone on hearsay? And since when is it such a fast process that Eric could get reinstated within, what, forty-five minutes maybe?
The photos of stuff from the safety deposit box was way too heavy on the deus ex machina, and both hands on the knife was just too much. The photo montage at the end was a nice touch, though, as was the poor kid's line about his parents. He was the only believable thing about this ep, I think.
