Happy weekend

vr_trakowskiSaturday was errands and chatting with an overseas friend; yesterday was the Zoo with some of the local CSI folks--Millificent, Ligaras, Laura27MD. We had a great time laughing and pointing out critters to one another, though we missed Ruth. I want an elephant shrew! I want several! Those snouts! But the fact that the spider display contained spiders the size of my thumb or larger and didn't have any glass to keep them in really gave me the creeps.
And then we had a delicious dinner that took waaaay too long. Apparently we were mostly invisible to the waiter. Ah well, great company made it more than bearable.
Did you know that one can actually purchase a naked mole rat plushy? I probably should have done.
