Is it really 101,000? Wow. Well, a story takes as long as it takes. And I salute you for your dedication to it. Nowhere in any of the chapters is there even a hint that you are tired of the story and just want it to end. Each part is of the same intensity as the beginning. ::applause::

So, things are moving along. I'm please to see Grissom willing to make the changes, to take steps to keep from falling back into old habits/patterns. That he talks about it as not stopping, but refocusing is certainly the right attitude.

Felt bad about his mom. I can see where the tension between them would take its toll on him. ::pets the distraught bugman::

And the bit about the rings? I can so picture him in the shop, examining the rings with the same intensity/expression/care that he uses to examine evidence. It charming. And the fact that Ed was his co-conspirator was sweet...the clueless leading the, well, also clueless. LOL

But this...

Oh, my girl, this was just the best. Made me feel all warm and fuzzy.

Good heavens, I'm blushing. Thank you! I don't particularly want the story to end, it's just going on much longer than I expected it to. But hey, I'm learning a lot.

Ed is clueless, yeah...but his heart's in the right place! I.e., Gracie's pocket. *grin*
