Is it really 101,000? Wow. Well, a story takes as long as it takes. And I salute you for your dedication to it. Nowhere in any of the chapters is there even a hint that you are tired of the story and just want it to end. Each part is of the same intensity as the beginning. ::applause::
So, things are moving along. I'm please to see Grissom willing to make the changes, to take steps to keep from falling back into old habits/patterns. That he talks about it as not stopping, but refocusing is certainly the right attitude.
Felt bad about his mom. I can see where the tension between them would take its toll on him. ::pets the distraught bugman::
And the bit about the rings? I can so picture him in the shop, examining the rings with the same intensity/expression/care that he uses to examine evidence. It charming. And the fact that Ed was his co-conspirator was sweet...the clueless leading the, well, also clueless. LOL

Oh, my girl, this was just the best. Made me feel all warm and fuzzy.
