Okay, I can still write a decent short story.  A House by the Water is CSI, rated G, and definitely has spoilers through 9x1.  It is also unbetaed--I'm impatient--and for bunchofgrapes , who asked.

That was lovely VR. I have pondered the heartbreak I was sure would be Brass's reaction to Warrick's death all summer. Thank you for giving him some peace.

I'm glad you liked the story! I wish they'd addressed it without using the Undersheriff, but it was still good to see it mentioned.
