Okay, I can still write a decent short story.  A House by the Water is CSI, rated G, and definitely has spoilers through 9x1.  It is also unbetaed--I'm impatient--and for [livejournal.com profile] bunchofgrapes , who asked.

*sob* - this was just lovely and very moving. It was great to read a different take on 9x01, as I hadn't thought before about the impact that Warrick's death had on Brass.

I'm really really glad you're back to writing for CSI again - hope there's more, as I've missed your stories! :-)

I have always been interested in their relationship, given that it started so acrimoniously. I wish they'd made more of it.

Thanks! I don't know how much more I'll be doing for CSI--it kind of depends on the season.

That was lovely VR. I have pondered the heartbreak I was sure would be Brass's reaction to Warrick's death all summer. Thank you for giving him some peace.

I'm glad you liked the story! I wish they'd addressed it without using the Undersheriff, but it was still good to see it mentioned.

Oh, wow... This really captured the essence of their relationship, bumps and all. Thank you for bringing a different viewpoint to the situation. Of course, the show focused on the CSIs, but Warrick was part of other lives, too, and that needed to be shown. Which you did beautifully.

*hugs*

Thank you! I'm glad they had as much Brass as they did, though more would have been good.

That's way more than decent. Short, sweet, painful, so very in character.

Thank you for that. Bumpy relationship and all the love was there. Beautifully written. You made me cry... again!

Aww, maybe not what I had in mind but definitely wonderful. It's so nice to see some attention given to Jim and his relationship with Warrick, especially since he got ignored at the funeral. And I'd much rather read your take on this than anything the CSI writers could do. It's just a shame we can't see PG act it.

Oh, and you might not have much more GSR to write for CSI but there's always Brass...

I am glad you like it! I was sorry we didn't see more of Brass at the funeral (though, uniform, yeah!) but last week wasn't half bad.

There is--we'll see what the muse says!

I always look forward to your stuff, short...long...fin...WIP...doesn't matter. This was a poignant look at Brass that I think is always under-rated. Thaks for putting the short words to screen.

*blush* Thanks! He really deserves his own spin-off show, I think. :P
