Ugh

My insides hurt so much today (I think the nerves are regrown now, mostly) that I took one of the prescription analgesics left over from the surgeries.  It didn't work very well, so five hours later I took another one.

I don't understand why people enjoy being stoned.  I found it very unnerving.  Stopped hurting, though.

I've never enjoyed the stoned feeling either. The first time I was ever truly out of it I was still slightly under the effect of anesthesia and took some vicodin, and I hallucinated enough to make me cry. BAD TRIP. Generally, narcotic painkillers make me feel vomity, and I don't come out of anesthesia/out of painkiller haze very well~usually end up anxious and a little freaked out. And the two times I've tried marijuana I didn't really see the big deal either. I mean, it was way more pleasant than painkillers, but it really wasn't all I had thought it would be.

I find general anesthetic to be relaxing, myself, and IV morphine is fine though a heavy dose makes my eyes roll back in my head. But this buzzed-while-vertical feeling is just not good.

Saves time and trouble, I suppose! :P
