I just watched the Castle finale. 


Good.  I don't care how attractive Castle is.  Yes, he's a fun guy, yes, he's an excellent father, and he even may make a decent friend under the careless charm.  But he sleeps with anyone who so much as winks at him and gets all pouty the instant Beckett shows interest in someone else, let alone so much as kisses them.  That is not the sort of person it's good to start a relationship with.  He could be worse, sure, at least he didn't get overtly possessive.  But. 

I'll keep watching the show, because the cast is fun and the plots are interesting (if obvious) and hey, it's Nathan Fillion.  And because they didn't get together.  Up your standards, Beckett, seriously.  It's one thing to be attracted to him but it's another to start a relationship with an immature dweeb.

Richard Castle subscribes to 'short attentionspan theatre'. To make it all worse, he choses to flaunt 'ye olde ball and chain #2' at the precinct. Really? You couldn't just pick her up at her place?! Dude, this is not tit for tat highschool antics. Oh wait, its Castle, I forgot. We all know it will last 48 hours and he'll remember is screaming colour why he divorced her. I felt really sorry to Kate and if I were her, I would cry buckets and buckets and then get very, very mad. I just wanted to reach into the TV and shake Castle until his eyes rolled back in his head.

Eh, he's probably given up on Beckett and thinks she doesn't care. Though given his previous interactions with the ex, he's nuts to get back together with her or even consider it.

What got me was all those faces watching through the window. They want Beckett/Castle just so he'll stick around and amuse them, never mind if it's good for Beckett or not...

I have to agree I was not upset about them not getting together.
I was more upset at how lame this was all written.
I think both the characters need to grow before they can have relationships, but it's a procedural show so I don't see that happening any time soon.

I'll probably keep watching it though.

One may hope, yeah! And it is still fun to watch, if for nothing else besides the Castle household in general. :P
